CYRIL & METHODIUS:

The Apostles of the Slavs

Saints Cyril and Methodius were two Byzantine brothers born in the 9th century who became prominent Christian missionaries. Their mission influenced the cultural development of all Slavic nations, for which they are called the Apostles of the Slavs.

In order to commemorate the 1150th anniversary of their legacy, a 4-part doco-drama was created tracing their lives and work. This project, established in the Czech Republic, involved cooperation between the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, as these saints established what would be the foundation and future development of Czech and Slavic culture and education.
